The Montreal Christmas Market illuminates the heart of the city with its festive shopping locations, kiosks, playgrounds, outdoor scenes and a variety of gourmet refreshments. Visitors will also encounter a variety of things including a Christmas market, free outdoor activities and themed live shows. This is a destination for everyone, including the young and old alike.

Montréal en Fête Place Jacques-Cartier

From December 1 to January 1
Location: Old Montreal and the Old Port of Montreal

The 4th edition of Merry Montreal is the flagship of holiday events of the city of Montreal and the Old Port of Montreal. It is a place to experience during the holiday season. With free activities for the whole family in and across the Old Port of Montreal, its Christmas magic and spirited atmosphere has made it a top attraction for tourists during the holiday season.

The Old Port of Montreal is one of the oldest neighbourhoods of North America. With its European, historical and elegant vibes and many restaurants, boutique and hotels, this location at this time of year is nothing less than magical. The Merry Montreal Christmas Market of Place Jacques-Cartier is also a place to be and experience during the holiday season. Igloofest

From January to February 2017
Location : Quai Jacques-Cartier in Old Montreal

Celebrating its 11th anniversary, Igloofest 2017 is the event where thousands of electronic music fans come together. Igloofest is a one-of-a-kind winter playground with icy décor and steel structures, projections and music by the top local and international DJ’s. The event takes place on January 12-13-14, 19-20-21, 26-27-28 and February 2-3-4, 2017. Igloofest also holds a winter wear competition called Iglooswag, where imagination, quirkiness and snowsuits all contribute to the successful Iglooswag look.

Igloofest will be even more special in 2017 as it celebrates Montreal’s 375th birthday. Accordingly, Igloofest is offering a wide range of winter activities in light of this celebration from January 12 to February 4, 2016. Included in this setup is a Nordik Village, a Nordik Chute, Nordik Games and much more. All activities are free.
